| Tier 1: Local Backup |
| |
| * |
If one of your servers fails, the following two actions can be taken: |
| |
|
| 1. |
The most recent image can be restored to similar or dissimilar hardware for rapid recovery |
| 2. |
In the event that hardware cannot be obtained in an acceptable time scale the failed server can be recovered to |
| |
a virtual environment hosted by the Virtual Tech Recovery Server (VTRS). Once the physical server has been |
| |
repaired/replaced the current stand-in server running in the virtual environment can be migrated back to physical. |
| |
|
| * |
If a directory/file has to be restored then a Windows Explorer type utility can be used to open the backups and restore |
| |
the data rapidly |
